Gris Arellano, Chief Administrative Officer

Gris Arellano received her BS in Business and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.  She has been part of the UC San Diego staff since April 1990. Beginning her career as a Financial Assistant in Biology, she then went on to work as a Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Cognitive Science. In 2001 she became the MSO for the (then) Human Development Program and Center for Human Development. Six years later, she was selected to be MSO of the Linguistics Department. Gris became the CAO in Theatre & Dance in April 2016 where she worked for over 7 years.  Now, she is delighted to call Music home and is responsible for the overall administration, policy and procedure implementation for the department. Gris enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her three dogs.
