Amelia Campbell, Undergraduate Student Advisor

Amelia Campbell holds an M.A. in Latin American Studies with an emphasis in literature (UC San Diego) and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities and Spanish (Brigham Young University). She has a passion for the arts and humanities, and has worked as a translator for the TransAndean Lithium Project, as a teaching assistant for the Revelle Humanities Program, and in visitor services at the Oceanside Museum of Art. She is excited to return to UCSD, and especially excited to be joining the Department of Music! She comes from a family of musicians, and grew up attending experimental operas, medieval choir concerts, and free jazz jam sessions. She plays the piano, guitar, trumpet, and spent four years playing with BYU's Balinese gamelan ensemble. Along with a love for music (and musicians), Amelia is passionate about education as a tool for social change and personal fulfillment, and looks forward to helping music students find joy in both their academic and personal lives, and hopefully, share that joy with their communities.

Amelia is a Seattle native who often misses the cold and rain, but has come to appreciate the San Diego sun too. When she's not working, you can find her on long walks with her dog, Amadeus (Wolfie, for short), baking, volunteering at museum events and exhibition installations, and performing in community theater.
